 Parent Training and
Information Center
Parents and other adults who care for and care about
children with disabilities want to assure that the children they love get the
best education possible.
Putnam Independent Living Services' Parent Training
and Information Center (PTIC) helps parents increase their confidence and
develop advocacy skills that will benefit their children.
The Parent Training and Information Center offers
workshops and ongoing support for parents of children with disabilities to help
them gain the knowledge and skills they need to be advocates for their
children.
Separate trainings and workshops are offered for
professionals who work with children with disabilities and their families.
PTIC covers the following 7 counties in the Lower
Hudson Valley Region:
- Dutchess County
- Orange County
- Putnam County
- Rockland County
- Sullivan County
- Ulster County
- Westchester County
The Parent Training and Information Center is funded
by The Advocacy Center in Rochester, NY through their Parent Training and
Information Center (PTIC) grant.
